About: Jen Farnham, LMFTA
Wherever you are in your therapeutic journey, my first goal is to offer a warm, empathetic space where you can be comfortable exploring the questions that brought you here. I welcome individuals, couples, kids, teens, and families and I am a long-practicing ally to BIPOC and LGTBQIA+ communities.
My first career as an art and humanities teacher sparked a desire to work more one-on-one with people and the challenges they face throughout life. This desire led me to a master’s degree and a second career as a therapist. My therapeutic methods derive from Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and individuals, Internal Family Systems theory, Gottman Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and art therapy.
Outside of the office, I enjoy live music, painting, paddleboarding, and traveling the world including exploring the many natural and cultural gems of the PNW. In addition, I find true joy in hugging an animal and reminding them that they are “good.”
My areas of focus in therapy include:
-
trauma
-
attachment
-
grief
-
relationships
-
boundary-setting
-
goal work
-
sex
-
alternative families
-
anxiety
-
depression
Jen’s fee is $160 / 50 minute session
