I have a BA from Carleton College and a Masters in Counseling Psychology with Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Clinical Counseling, and Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, CA. I have also received specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, Gottman Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and clinical Sexology. I am also a trained Family Constellations practitioner. I completed my MFT internship in the Outpatient Mental Health Department at Ryther Center for Children and Families in Seattle, WA, where I counseled children and their families coping with a range of mental health and behavioral issues including ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression and trauma.

Life is all about relationships, and sometimes we come to places where we can’t see how to be who we are, and still stay connected to those we love. A relationship may be with your self and your desire to live fully and thrive and it may also be with a parent, a child, a partner, a friend or colleague. Therapy is a safe space to be seen and heard, to gain perspective and to learn new ways of being. 

I work with individuals as well as couples and families of all ages and gender orientations who might be feeling or experiencing:

• Relationship stress, Anxiety, Overwhelm 

• Depression, Hopelessness, Anger

• Immediate or past experiences of Loss, Illness, Abuse and other traumas, big and small.

• A sense of longing or lack, a feeling of disconnection from self and others

• Difficulty communicating with a loved one

• Issues and/or questions around sex and sexuality

• I also do premarital counseling
